Unanswered Prayer

“…the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.”
– Romans 8:26-27

“When we pray about the situations that concern us, we’re opening them to His providence, and He will guide those who pray and don’t lose heart. We grow to trust God more by seeing that often he prepares something better than our initial prayers did (or could) request. In fact God’s greatest gifts may come through prayers that seem to be unanswered.”
– Bryan Chapell

God Is Not Limited

“Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving.”
– Colossians 4:2

“Pray according to God’s ability, not yours. Stop stressing about praying ‘right’ and rely on God’s willingness to hear — and answer. Pray in the awareness that God is not limited as earthly parents often are. You don’t have to get the words “just so.” You don’t need to get His attention or convince Him of your need. You don’t need to advise Him in the details. When you ask, He hears. What you ask for, He can give. He knows what His children need and when they need it, and He is able to hear and answer…”
